Tracker mortgages are mortgages that track an independent rate. For example, a Bank of England Base Rate (BBR) + 0.5% tracker mortgage for 2 years will track at 0.5% above the BBR for the 2 year period. Please note that your monthly repayment may go up or down during the tracker period. The key benefit of a tracker mortgage is that you are paying a rate that follows an independent interest rate throughout the tracker period.
